The Vision Behind the Liturgy
Catholic Clergy recite the 7 parts of the Liturgy of the Hours throughout every day. This helps to keep them connected to the Source and focused on God's presence.
I created the Liturgy of the Workday to keep me focused on the Lord throughout the day, and to make decisions aligned to God's vision for human work.
This platform serves as a bridge between our spiritual calling and our professional responsibilities, helping working professionals integrate meaningful prayer into their daily work routine and find divine purpose in their labor.
The Art Tells a Story
Graphic Designer Hope Mosher designed the colors and icons for the site. Her inspiration came from St Benedict and his famous "ora et labora" (pray and labor).
Hope's Inspiration: "The staff represents order like liturgy of the hours (a staff is often depicted with St. Benedict). I wanted order to be in it, in the sense of having an ordered life and giving proper reverence to what is due (in this case, one's prayer life). And then the dove is meant to be like the Holy Spirit who infuses us with grace and allows us to be transformed and live integrated lives."
